Keeping a continental Europe foothold for Eurozone market access

Head Partner of Laga's Banking & finance practice Werner Van Lembergen was interviewed by the De Standaard newspaper regarding British financial institutions' post-Brexit location strategy, vis-à-vis the European market.
Insurance market Lloyd's decision to set up a subsidiary in Brussels has underlined that after Brexit, British financial institutions will need to work on keeping a continental Europe foothold to maintain contact with the Eurozone, thereby minimising loss of business.
With his extensive experience in Belgian, British and European financial markets and banking systems, Werner spoke to De Standaard on the applicable laws and other implications in relation to the possible Brexit based strategies of international financial institutions.
