Hilde Laga interviewed in De Bestuurder
A leading Belgian journal, De Bestuurder, has published a 7-page interview with co-founder and chairman of the firm, Hilde Laga. The interview focuses on the new legislation that could upset the internal harmony of Belgian business.
Hilde Laga was interviewed by De Bestuurder to discuss new Belgian legislation that threatens the collective responsibility of the Board of Directors. A certain confusion menaces companies acting in Belgium who have to follow the recommendations of the European Directives, those of the Corporate Governance Code and the Belgian federal laws (new or in development) which will transpose more or less of these recommendations into law. Such changes may cause tension between the Board of Directors and the audit and remuneration committees and put the directors on a slippery slope.
