Jan heads the Belgian Legal Operate practice at Deloitte Legal.
He has 20 years of experience working as an in house lawyer for the Belgian Government and as an attorney in private practice.
Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, he founded, grew and managed Adhemar Law, a real estate and environmental law boutique firm recommended by Legal 500. While at Adhemar, he increasingly focused on innovation and change-processes within the firm and in the legal sector in general. He became more and more passionate about “new law” developments including legal operations, technology and staffing, which are now his main focus at Deloitte Legal.
In addition to his Law degree, Jan holds a Master’s degree in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and obtained additional certificates in Legal Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Design Sprint Facilitation and Social Impact
