In the last couple of years, several codes and new legislation aiming at improving the governance of Belgian listed and non-listed companies have been implemented. Only a few months ago, the Financial Services and Markets Authority has published its follow-up study n° 40 on corporate governance and made some useful recommendations to listed companies in view of their annual report on financial year 2011. Moreover, several new legal requirements apply as of this report’s release.
