New termination legislation: Work regulations to be adapted
As announced in our Newsflash of 10 May 2011, the new termination legislation (1) entered into force on 1 January 2012. These new mandatory provisions on redundancy will be applicable to both blue collar and white collar workers employment contracts taking effect from 1 January 2012 onwards.
New thresholds for public procurement procedures 2012 - 2013
On 30 November 2011, the new European thresholds for public procurement procedures during the period 2012 – 2013 were announced (1). Although Belgian procurement legislation still needs to be modified accordingly, these thresholds are already fully applicable on all procedures that have started as of 1 January 2012.
